Decisions in the college process can feel overwhelming. We’ll tackle them together in a four step process.

Phase One

Pre-Application

The first step in the process is all about getting to know your student and family’s goals and expectations. We’ll discuss your student’s interests as well as best fit and financial expectations. Using this information, we will develop a broad list of colleges ranging from likely to reach. Next, we’ll talk about testing. I will review all of the options and provide resources and relevant dates. We’ll plan out potential school visits and discuss letters of recommendation.

Phase Two

Application

Next, we will formulate a plan for application submissions. I will support your student as they write their personal statement and supplemental essays for each school. We’ll work on the honors and activities section.  We’ll tackle the nitty-gritty together, coordinating transcript requests and recommendations through high school portals. Finally, we’ll submit each application together because it’s always better to have an extra set of eyes – and a hand to high-five, too.

Phase Three

Post-Application

Once decisions begin to roll in, we’ll review acceptances, financial aid offers and work together to make a student and family supported decision.

Phase Four

College Preparation

You’re in and committed, but you’re not done with me yet! We’ll familiarize ourselves with the college portal and other relevant sites, discuss first-semester classes, housing and roommate selection if relevant. We’ll research clubs and ways you can maximize your student’s time on campus and review any support services your future college provides.

My goal is to work together to find your future best fit.
